Slumber Town Poem by Mimie Durand

Slumber Town

Rating: 4.0

When the sun is going down
in the west,
mother sleeps in slumber town
where she rests.

When the sun is coming up
in the east,
mother rises from her bed to make
a breakfast feast.

When the day has come and gone
and it's no longer sunny,
mother puts me in the bed and says
“I love you honey.”
