Sleepy Town Poem by Ron Pate

Sleepy Town

As daylight breaks over sleepy town, tired eyes open to greet yet another glorious day. The time so sweet hurries away as we carry on throughout our day.
And when a midday sun sets high above, shimmering down upon our hearts and warming our souls. Sweet salutations are within our breath, falling like soft rain on those tendering smiles while passing by.
Oh, such a glorious day has set, as have we brought happiness to all we have met. Lay your head, be at peace, wonderful things lie just ahead as we rise from sleepy town once again.
