Silence, Like A Glass Of Poison Poem by Elena Sandu

Silence, Like A Glass Of Poison

Silence, like
a glass of poison
evermore keeps sitting
in front of us.

But, what could be worse
when closest people
won't even listen
to our stream of words.

To get them out of chests
and say what's needed
takes time, courage,
and accumulated power.

Broken hearts
could mend back
Yet poisoned minds
may have no choice.

Don't poison your life
with that glass of silence.
Can live smart and open.
If opt to be generous and kind.

Silence, like
a glass of poison
is no more sitting
between us.
