Should Be Here Poem by Clayton Anderson

Should Be Here

It’s in the deepest caverns of a lost and lonely heart;
That you will find the love you feel was quickly torn apart;
I only hope that you believe the words I share with you;
So you will know and maybe see my love is here and true;
With every word I get to share the closer that I feel;
To having you right next to me, to making my dreams real;
I wish that I could turn back time, I wish that you could see;
That everything you’re looking for fills every part of me;
In every day there are some things that we could never know;
Mysteries and secrets that the world will never show;
Time has had its chance with us to fill our worlds with strife,
To build up walls between us while we carry on in life;
Yet, despite its greatest efforts, my feelings haven’t changed;
It’s nothing that we planned, no nothing we arranged;
It’s simply the connection that we know but cannot see;
That has us both realizing, it’s here that you should be.
