She Who Dreams Poem by David Hunter

She Who Dreams

All your life, you've dreamed
To see the love never felt
In forever like the centuries
That passed by as time clicked.
Now that you are asleep,
Eyes closed, always dreaming.
But I know one thing,
You are walking between two worlds.
The everlasting sleep
You longed to achieve,
Is now given,
Then you see the lost grandchild.
Good, God!
It sure must be nice to dream,
It sure must be nice to sleep.
Every day, it will rain for your family,
But I wish you sunshine and blue skies.
I hope the choir sing
Psalms and hymns
While you forever pray for mercy
And for forgiveness.
She who is named
Was given by a mother
Who cared for her
As a child to this day.
she who dreams
Will never wake
But will watch over
The ones she loves.
She who is remembered
From then and now.
