She Too Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

She Too

She too

Years ago, I read of
Researcher:
"Committed suicide! "

And today's New York
Breen or Dr. Lorna!

Feel at Ur
Persian Gulf,
"Arvand Rood."

Long ago, over there
Lived nation and people
"Assyrians" in culture
With the tongue of water.

I devote eyes, ears
To them and to Iris
And Lorna…

All are gone
Some self-killed
Some victims of the time…

But crude abusers
That gobble our taxes
In White House and Tehran
And London to Riyadh
And elsewhere, are one kind
(As have been Kremlin,
And within Chinese Walls,)
They cheat to roam around.

None care to feel, nor see
People die of COVID.

Trump-likes abuse us
For sake of seat, crown,
While Breen and Iris
Cannot see people sick
And suffer, so, self-kill.
