Shattered Poem by Kaitlin Parsons

Shattered

He grasps her heart
And wont let go
She’s falling apart
And this we know
She wants to runaway
But he wont let her leave
She’s praying every day
But no one here’s her pleas
She’s trapped in a game
That he plays with her mind
She feels no real pain
But she’s soon out of time
She sticks by his side
And waits for an escape
He’s very much lied
And that’s all it takes
For true love to shatter
To stop in it’s tracks
To be beaten and battered
To never look back
