Settle For And Accept Mediocrity Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Settle For And Accept Mediocrity

I can't.
And won't think of it,
To consider.
Others who settle,
For and accept mediocrity.
May for them be a goal.
A mission to accomplish.
But I can not do that,
When the example I want...
Hope and wish to set for you,
Is to make what seems...
Impossible.
Like an opened door.
With an ease to walk through.

Mediocrity to expect accepted?
Is too common a place for you.
And...
I have notice to know,
This of you to be true.
Your questions to ask,
Leaves me thinking...
You already have the answers.
Just to await,
For approval to give me.
Knowing what you have asked,
Is simple.
And not complicated at all.

'Why would you ask of me,
Such a stupid question? '

-No question is stupid to ask.
The only thing that is stupid,
Are the ones who pretend...
They have the answers,
For everything.
To only prove themselves fools! -

'Oh? Really?
And...
What have I proven? '

-To keep anything I ask you,
As simple as possible.-
