Semolina And Tropical Sand Poem by Sylvia Lukeman

Semolina And Tropical Sand

Rating: 5.0

This morn saw me rise in time
to see the lemon coloured sun begin to climb;
gentle companions early in the day
were a multicoloured sky and clouds of palest grey.

As sun's colours changed so too did the sky
and palest lilac turned to fragile turquoise blue.
semolina mixed with tropical sand
and peachy tones began to seep into this heavenly land

Below were trees which hovered twixt autumn's myriad shades
dressed in fluttering gowns crafted by Mother Nature's hand. Side by side stood winter-naked trees with branches reaching high,
perhaps in praise of what was happening in the ever changing sky.
