School To Universal University Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

School To Universal University

Rating: 5.0

I was a child going to primary school,
I was a teenager going to High school,
Learning was my motive with joy,
Beauty was perceived indeed in hope.

Attaining youth and attending college,
I passed degrees from nice university,
Gaining knowledge I became a teacher.
I spent my time in teaching and learning.

Teaching students from school to college,
Like seen past dream time passed soon,
I retired and became old with grey hair,
Like child I became, learning never ended.

God became teacher taught me about life.
His spiritual universal university attracted,
Many, many angels with white feathers flied,
They played the flute of wisdom as God said.

Little school of village to universal university
This was a long journey of learning of course,
Sitting on mount and hearing God's music,
A journey was started from school to eternity.

Great poem Mahakul Ji, yes, learning continues throughout the life, when I shall die, I shall be learning what is death.

So refreshing to read of someone who enjoyed school and found joy in learning-as I did. is the supreme teacher as you point out: He lectures in a spiritual university on the road to eternity. 'Many angels with white feathers flew'-suggestion. Still a top-drawer ode.
