The coldest May in 40 years
is on its slow decline
let's not shed any tears
let's stifle all the whine.
Bring on the heat again
let's let the earth get hot
too much cold my friend
too much rain I've fought.
Bring on the warmer weather
send Jack frost away
may winter come back never
send some heat my way.
Stop with April showers
stop with May's cold wind
I've had enough of flowers
let's bring them to an end.
Give me heat and sunshine
I don't mind a little sweat
summer nights suit me fine
I'm sick of being wet.
