Save Me From The Light Poem by Pete Rivera

Save Me From The Light

Swimming in a pool of tears
And counting off the days of my calendar
Velvet rains can't take the pain away
Everyone just stares me in the eyes

My God, how far have I gone?
Everyone looks so small from this point

Far from my friends and family
Reading under the rings of Planet Saturn
Opressing my depression for awhile
Mixing the red wine with water

The heathens do not understand my light
He calls to me to be with Him in Heaven
Everyone is zealous of my success

Light the candles before dawn turns dusk
I will stay here and await your return
Give me your hand before we walk this world
He will set us free
Together we will get through this harsh time
