Pete Rivera Poems

She was a young girl
With many hopes and dreams
Or at least
I think so
...

I thought about you
Oh, what a thing to do
We spoke after so long
We had forgotten what we'd done wrong
...

Out the window I see the birds
Can you find the correct words?
Don't answer me if you're not sure
There is quite a lot to learn..
...

4.

Breathe carefully
In this slowness
I can see clearly
Into the eyes
...

5.

You can see the teardrops
Descend from the mountain tops
And you can feel my heart
As if we were never apart
...

The truth has hid its ugly head from us
And now I'm caught in a lie
Will I die?
A sense of immortality has showed up
...

When you're sad
I'll make you happy
When you're down
I'll bring you up
...

The light that shrouds
My inner soul
Delves within me
And takes control
...

9.

I notice but I turn
From the glimmer in your eye
And I'm afraid that I'll go blind
If I look
...

The walls seem so much closer
When you're far away from me
The things I shouldn't have said
Have finally set you free
...

Do you want to know
When I draw the line
In the shadows
Where can it shine?
...

Please, dear, don't cry, I know
Exactly how you're feeling
All the thoughts I've conjured
Can't stop all the problems
...

Strum the strings
From room to room
The sound will ring
...

By fragile wind
The leaf travels through
It speaks to me
And it falls to you
...

Self proclaiming astronauts
Resting on the rocket docks
Don't even know
How to tell you
...

Please, believe me
When I say
My eyes get dreary
Please, believe me
...

To the stars you have gone
My friend
My brother
And now, because of this
...

Way down below the concrete
Lives a land of depression
I drown my eyes in water
You make a bad impression
...

Crying out more
For the end of all war
...

I'm lost in a sea of darkness
I cannot find the way out
I call constantly for your help
Why won't you help me?
...

The Best Poem Of Pete Rivera

Anne Frank

She was a young girl
With many hopes and dreams
Or at least
I think so

She lay in silence
Waiting for death's shadow
To pass by
Her window cill

She wrote a diary
To keep up
With the days
And with the nights

She had a faith
That could not be explained
With a few
Simple words

And she was discovered
And thrown on the gray
Freight train
Which led to hell on earth

Now she lives on
As a simple memory
And we cry
When we think of her
