Saddle Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Saddle

Saddle

Biting mother's breast,
Is Persian proverb.

Look deep in history
Dictators' victories.

See rivers of blood
And question:
"For whom? Why? "

Those who rise, complain,
Are the normal people.

Governors become mad
And abuse their power,
They attack taxpayers
Of their own, and others,
Saddles are armed forces,
Arms makers, their friends.

I know since I was there,
The police and soldiers
Act as bullies' saddles.

Rulers in palaces
Bite on mothers' breasts.

The leaders, political, religious
Are monks with parishioners.

Their actions, speeches
Are winter and summer,
Look at the scooping
In name of schooling
And nun-monk relations
And raping children.

The tooth and claws of
Such brute, is "SIMPLE"
And the poor, powerless,
We become their soldiers.

Nice one say. I think its all over the world. The way leaders abuse power for their own benefit. As usual you speak truth to power

See rivers of blood And question: " For whom? Why? " ...................................... Is there any answer for the civilized world! Is there? Perhaps not. It's the uncivilized part of this time. Thank you the poet.
