Sad Moments Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Sad Moments

Rating: 4.0

I remembered those lovely and sad moments’
When felt kind hand moving in hair with some movements
Her tears were falling on my cheeks and whole face
I was still not awakened and felt sweet embrace

I was just back from my training school camp
Energetic, red face young man with official stamp
People may point out at my white skin and red face
It was smart turn out in civil dress with no more chases

I used to come back late in night with friends
My mother will wait for me and world may then end
I will have dinner which she may serve
What a lovely scene to see and deserve?

When my days drew nearer her mind was seized with questions
She became helpless and choked up with emotions
As I was brought with care and bond of relations
Any mother would miss her son in question

Whenever I used to find or see mother’s statue
It may compel me to think and deeply view
Her curved face lines with lots of emotional mixture
Kindness with lots of anxieties for child’s future

I remember, as an infant, her worries and concern
She may eagerly want and wait for my turn
To feed me with her own hand and enjoy
I too used to feel love, affection with joy

It was heavenly cover and shade
She provided it safe and in fact made
We all were enjoying under her patronage
Even today she is unforgettable figure in age

When I woke up from deep sleep
I found her eyes with worries so deep
She was unable to hide or keep
Yet I guessed how badly she failed not to weep

Such is nature of mother and may always be the same
Let us not forget her contribution and ever blame
She has brought us up to face any challenges
It is we who may fail or succeed or hardly manage
