Sad Exit Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Sad exit
Saturday,11th Sept 2021

Four years before on this date
I felt sore about the fate
she breathed her last
the end came so fast

she was to return hale and hearty
and promised to come back early
she was to be discharged the next day
but never came the fortunate day that way
​​​​​​​
no doubt, it is a lifeline
that has been defined elsewhere
but it creates fear
when you lose your dear one

it was a tearful exit from my life
and thereafter it has remained with torn strife
life moves steadily but with snail's speed
and needs careful advance

life has a colourful entry
but the end makes you unhappy
with so much to remember
and feel anguish with fear
