Run Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Run

It's beyond just the two of us
And I think you know
But you're looking at it wrong
Something telling you to run

And I can't, I won't, I shouldn't do this alone
What nature intends can't be postponed
Consequences of reckless actions
Has lead to what wasn't imagined

I really don't ask you of much
but the concern of this matter
will require not only my touch
If time shall interfere
It will be the judge
why don't you care?

Knock, Knock
As you'd flee for your life
You knew what was at the door
But you couldn't be bothered to see

Give up, give up
Even if I disapprove the choice
Together we could have rejoiced
But the moment have drawn fears

When the deliverer pass out
the gift they likely will not stay
Much of the world is
filled with responsibilities
And this by far is the scariest
Gone before the arrival of the day
