Rhetoric Poem by Melanie Walendowsky Baker

Rhetoric

Rating: 4.5

Does it ever leave you,
the panic and despair?
Do you survive somehow
when hope just isn't there?

What do you hold on to
when the clouds are all you see?
How do you find your way
and ultimately be free?

How do you drown
the negativity inside?
How do you stay
and not run away and hide?

Rhetoric is moot.
There's no one there;
No one to call;
I just wouldn't dare.
