Revolution In Evolution Poem by Makhosonke Dhlamini

Revolution In Evolution

Rating: 4.8

Hands of clay upon the djembe drum
they dance not in vain, but to conceive
sweet melodies which sings inside the rhythm
of hope to heal the heart from the desert of hunger

We shall sing to invigorate our courage
to be bold to assassinate the spirit of dependency
syndrome for nature has agreed and bow down
to all facts of life that whom the world known
as the black man was born to conquer.

Now listen comrades for fate calls for revolution
in evolution, we have conquered the edge colonization
and embrace decolonization. The art of civil
wars can not be peace nor mirage.

Xenophobia its a shame when the heart fails to
fall in love with its vein.Emerge dishonor illiteracy

Crown knowledge for the sake of logic
for humility in man leads to humanity
and humanity in mankind is peace.

I really like this poem. It turns around the subject of peace so symbolically. We all need peace.

They dance not in vain, but to conceive sweet melodies in memory. Hands of clay still carry courage and power of revolution. Xenophobia its a shame when the heart fails to fall in love and this provokes thought. But we hope for the positive evolution. This excellent poem is brilliantly penned.10

Wow, this is not only a universally beautiful message but you capture the emotions and the strength you must possess so eloquently. This piece is so very powerful, written from the heart, but it is calm and rational. It is not a tirade of emotional overload where others might just skip over it. You present the horrible truth in such a manner that anyone who reads this cannot walk away without seeing your talent and your message. Wonderful!
