Return Of The Eves Poem by Morakinyo Temiloluwa Bolarinwa

Return Of The Eves

Armed, set, ready, fight!

with painted lids and ruby lips,
with arid face and talon nails,
with silicon bust and plastic hips,
to cover up where nature fails,

Switch battle methods and fight tactics,

from skimpy skirts to ropy belts,
from pantless leggings to lowly jeans,
from tiny nets to see-through shirts,
to give comfort by all means,

Kill! , kill! Kill the morals! ! !

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Note: this poem was not written to be Chauvinistic, foster gender segregation or bias, or portray womanhood in suspicious and ill fated light. Rather it is a attempt by the writer to use women as the fundamental building blocks of the society and the pace dictators of it likewise, and therefore to show that whatever actions or inactions of theirs may be, it automatically translates to the entirety of the Society, and where their action has a negative moral consequence, no matter how positive the means and subsequent consequences of such action may be, that negativity in consequence may never really leave the fabrics of the society and as soon as attention has been shifted off the negativity, it may then start to eat up the fabrics of the society, till it'll become a cankerworm to the society or ultimately even corrupt the values of the society. The poem seeks to truly make women consider the power in their decisions, actions and creations, as they could make or mar core aspects of our society, morality included.
