Remember Me Poem by yvonne selase nyahe

Remember Me

remember me when you find another
i am forever gone but my spirit remains with you
everytime you hold her hand
think of our lonely walks in the park
how you used to tickle me in the grass
and the sound of my laugh, free and sincere
each time you make love to her
remember the nights we stayed up till dawn
exploring the secrets of our body
how i used to tremble afterwards
and the soggy baths in the shower
remember me in your bed, the office
and that odd hour when you, ld rather forget me
you must move on with your life i know
for i, m no longer here with you
i may be lost in the morning dew
my voice may be just a ringing echo now
but as selfish as it may sound
i want you to be haunted every day
by the memories we shared together
