Remember A Kiss Poem by Randy McClave

Remember A Kiss

Always remember this
Before ever giving or receiving a kiss,
Don't be a Doubting Thomas
A kiss is more than just a promise.
It is given in love and desire
To ignite the soul in a fire,
It is placed to protect one from fear
And to ease the pain of a tear.
It is given so not to ever forget
That you are part of a duet,
And it is given to say a forever goodbye
As on the ground, they lie.
It indeed is the greatest emotion
That can quieten any ocean,
But, remember underneath a mask or a veil
A kiss, is also given in betrayal.

I love this poem however the word choice quieten for me at least change the flow and disrupts it maybe that is what you are going for. it for me would flow better with " That can quiet any ocean, or That can quieten down any ocean, " just a thought thanks for sharing

I like that last line. It reminds me of something I read in the Bible.
