Redux Poem by Natasha Dowdy

Redux

Rating: 5.0

There was a period of time where I couldn't feel him around me anymore.
His presence had disappeared.
I was relieved.
Months had passed and I thought about him less and less; almost forgetting he was real.
Then the winds shifted, the seasons changed and summer...was gone.
It started with the dreams.
Visions of his ice blue eyes flashed in my sleep, that smile, those lips, that tongue.
I'd wake up in a furious sweat with a need only he could sate.Days had passed, the dreams forgotten and it was quite again.
But I felt him thinking about me.
I tried to forget him, I tried to push the memories away but they crept into my silent moments and soon possessed my every thought. It had been months since I had seen him, and suddenly, his essence was my air.
