Reconsideration. Poem by dave lessard

Reconsideration.

Will you reconsider?
stay, let's talk it out;
the rush of angered words
what were they all about?

Must you throw away love
on emotion one can't trust?
things that once were silver
are turning into rust.

Things that once were golden
now have lost their luster;
dumped into the garbage
by our senseless bluster.

By words that sting and hurt
by shouts of great distress;
let's mend and heal the wounds
and put it all to rest.

Won't you reconsider?
we all need a second chance;
in life as well as love
within our cosmic dance.
