Re-Shaping>>> Poem by Manonton Dalan

Re-Shaping>>>

a river coursing land
like mad, mad sculptor
leaving none on her way
no mercy everything go
deposited in ocean deep
even fishes must follow
leaving no unturned stones
sandbars, rocks all strewn

grass will soon take over
like painter, single stroke
of lush green, swallowing
every foot of riverside
where grasshoppers, crickets,
worms, ants, frogs hide
while listening to gurgling
sound of river flow all day
