Raining Honey Drops Poem by Jimmy L. Lyons

Raining Honey Drops

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes I cry to God in sadness and pain,
and sometimes I laugh in delight.
Sometimes life is sweet like honey-flavored rain;
and sometimes life is a fight.

When life is sweet like raining honey drops;
it's like I'm eating dessert.
When life is cold and the sweetness stops,
I can only feel the hurt.

I know the Lord's my source of power;
I long to sing His praise.
I feel like praying every hour,
and worshiping all my days.

But my feelings of holiness come and go;
the joyful times don't stay.
When the sweetness and honey drops cease to flow,
I know it's time for me to pray.

Dear Lord,
Help me to let go, let God, and be blessed.
Amen
