Lately I've had tears coming from my eyes,
because I'm going through a lot right now.
Life's not easy, going through all this pain;
no one understands what I'm dealing with now -
this is my rainbow of tears.

I just want my joy back; I want this pain to be gone.
When I hear Earth Wind & Fire sing "After the Love Has Gone, "
I think they're singing my song, that my life is going wrong.
I want my joy back; I want to get my life on track;
this is my rainbow of tears.

I hope God is putting a new song in me - a song of goodness and light;
I know God is good all of the time, and He's going to set me right.
When I see a rainbow in the sky, I hope for an end to my strife;
I hope for a better tomorrow, and for some joy in my life.
This is my rainbow of tears.
