Quitters Never Win Poem by brittany hamilton

Quitters Never Win

Rating: 5.0

Every thought I have is overcome by doubt
Just one more time, I’ll take the easy way out
Cause when right feels wrong and wrong feels right
Everything in between becomes out of sight
Life moves on, ready or not
We mess around, though we’ve only got one shot
These insecurities will burn a hole
Fill it with self-hate and lose control
When the world seems to have nothing left for you
You’ll start to wonder if the sayings true
“You must love yourself to love another, ”
So who hate thyself shall hate thy brother?
See the ditch, keep falling in
Get half way out, then fall down again
Believe the false hope, and ditch becomes friend
She’s leading you closer and closer to the end
Take two steps forward, three steps back
Try to change, now your minds under attack
Weak and vulnerable, but it is a fair game
Cause after all, you’re the one to blame
Open your eyes and see what you’ve got yourself in
You know the rules, quitters never win.
