Queen Of Souls Poem by OLUSEYI OLUSEUN AMOO

Queen Of Souls

Rating: 4.8

Warrior in the grave
How art the mighty fallen?
Your soul remains brave
Even in mourning season

In life we treasure you
Your love we still reminisce
In death we are proud of you
Your feats still luminesce

To us you were a treasure
In you we found our hope
Your help we can't measure
Why is with you death eloped?

I remember how you smiled
And our gloomy day faded
How your wonderful style
Elements of hate never raided

Your words was our fortress
Your loving heart our pillar
Our burden you caressed
Memories of you remain stellar

Your laughter was captivating
It roars with so much dignity
Even in pain very excruciating
You continually taught us unity

Your beauty was next to no other
In nature's delight you revel
Your kindness was without border
In the storm you strength didn't shrivel

Adieu the queen of love
In time memorial you will still exist
Welcome the queen of love
From following us you will never desist

The day you kissed the earth
The sun wept bitterly
The moon dripped sweat
The stars glittered sparingly

A fascinating poem, although I must confess that there are some parts I don't understand. Maybe I'm just not awake yet. In any case, welcome to Poem Hunter!
