Prophecy


Like the sparrows
That have vanished
From the city
Like the invisible kuyils
That have fallen silent
And may not be heard any more
Like the clouds
That scud along overhead
Carefully carrying their rain elsewhere
All the children would suddenly sprout wings
And be gone.
