Prison Poem by Hope Wallin

Prison

I can't stand the pain.
I scream, can't take the silence.
With nothing else to do,
I decorate my prison walls.
Soon, they're covered with
Pictures, drawings.
One name is everywhere and nowhere.
I know him well,
But cannot convince myself to write his name.
But every time I look
At my prison walls,
I see his name, his face,
All the memories.
My prison of tears.
