Pride And Jewels Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Pride And Jewels

I am unsafe everywhere
Not safe in café
Not at work place
On road, not at all, in any case

Where shall we raise our voice?
Who shall promise?
For our safe movement
We are suffering at this moment

Rape and kidnapping has become common
Ordinary people are harassed but mostly woman
Gangsters have field day
Politicians back them in mysterious way

It may be my story
But no one should feel sorry
This will be carried for long
We shall remain as victims among

Who will rush to our aid?
What kind of words have been said
“The girl child and women are our pride and jewels”
But everything goes contrary much against our will
