Prayer Poem by Ben Gieske

Prayer

Rating: 3.0

An invitation of sorts
God beckoning
our beseeching

An incarnation of sorts
spirit to Spirit
word to Word

A meeting of sorts
meeting God
meeting we
who is to say
which is it to be

A conversation of sorts
one to one
person to persons
shared serenity
silent solitude

A carnival of sorts
threaded beads and whirling wheels
dancing circles and chanting choirs
shaking halls and wailing walls
blasting trumpets and clanging cymbals
breathing organs and strumming guitars
folded knees and clasping hands
life’s activities one and all

A miracle of sorts
between God and we
wherever we be
seeking eternity
‘til we rest in Thee

Woven with such wonderful words. A prayer indeed. Loved it. Deeply inspiring poetry. Superb read. Love Ernestine XXX
