Poser's Prose Poem by Max Jason Wallace

Poser's Prose

Without structure, reason, with pointless rhyme,
We're perpetually inundated time after time,
With aimless verbiage, with little to no thought,
Primping and posing, for cheap adoration sought.

Multiple attempts tis oft blindly confused,
With real talent, that hath truly amused,
Such lyrical fancy and poignant rhyme,
That will long stand the true test of time.

When ignorant blather is rabidly appeased,
To all good work creates painful unease.
For he who turns a daft ear and blind eye,
Insults true artists earning a woeful sigh.

Those who appreciate truly talented prose,
Wield power to separate the best of those.
Fear not to reveal the impostors so bold,
Elevating distinguished stories to be told.

When a weed is amongst graceful flowers,
Remove it, for their beauty it greatly sours.
Witnessing a wrongful and hideous site,
Action to be taken to make everything right.

For there comes a time to make a stand,
Set the world right and elevate the grand.
Take pride in best of our insubstantial art,
Sharing the joys, touching an aching heart.
