Political Dilemma Poem by louis rams

Political Dilemma

Rating: 4.0

They have different names, different faces, different times
Different places.
They are the politicians with one thing in mind
" how to rob the public in the shortest period of time "
They ask the public to help support their campaign
And yet your life remains the same.
You give them money just so they can steal from you
With their promises that never come true.
The lobbyist know how to play the game
They have no conscious, they have no shame.
This is where we should put some blame.
The companies they work for have millions to share
Who it goes to " they don't care ".
Then the politicians get their kickbacks when their bill is passed
And it's done behind closed doors - silently and fast.
Stocks, bonds, money too - all done under the Red, White and Blue.
The lobbyist are the middle men and it's become a familiar trend
And we the public must make it end.

A vivid picture on present politics has been astutely and impressively delineated by you dear Louis sir. The way of presentation is appreciated. Thank you for sharing.

Not exactly all true from my perspective but it comes close and resembles something of a humorous satire with realistic connotations. Well done.
