Poetic Licence Poem by TMA

Poetic Licence

Rating: 5.0

Poetic license-the license to thrill
With harrowing verses, the license to chill
Forcing rules of Grammar to bend to my will
To grip you in pincers of literary steel...
Then your attention, like a robber, steal-
As treasures of wisdom to you I reveal
With pleading entreaties, knock on your heart, till
You open it up or I break down the grille-
And force your black heart to wake up and FEEL!
Persistent like rain on your windowsill-
Won't stop till the message will strike you as real...
I'm hot with my passion, and burn with my zeal,
To take these words, and shape 'em on a potter's wheel...
With a little courage, a little heart and a small daub of skill-
Turn 'em into fiery darts that can pierce through mithril...
