Poemhunter Wants To Improve. Poem by Hardik Vaidya

Poemhunter Wants To Improve.

I will help you improve,
If you choose to improvise,
Break free from current accepted manners and rights
Show willingness to be a poets pride
Give a vacation to economic obsessions
Allow yourself to appreciate the art of reflection
Accept that poems are not insurance policies,
Sonnets don't necessarily do what a sonnet should,
That Shakespeare could write both plays and poetry,
Self goals are allowed in verse and vanity.
It is not a platform, nor a bazaar,
Tis a place where peep the most bizarre,
Mundane, brilliant, average, all kinds
Masters of creating landscapes of mind.
Do not sell me a poem, I do not need a fire extinguisher,
It is not plastic credit, literature is all about merit,
Merit of a decade hence,
Being born in the womb of our present.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The Poemhunters icon invites people on Facebook or other social media seeking improvement. A nice way to seek inputs, feedback. I was intrigued by this sense of mis directed marketing in the realm of literature. When you succeed to force a poem down a throat please let me know.
