Please Don't Leave Me Here Poem by Sherman Peebody

Please Don't Leave Me Here

Mom! I want to go with you!
Please! Don't leave me here!
At home alone with brothers grim,
They stab me with their jeer...

Mom! I want to go with you!
Please! Don't leave me here!
They frolic in the swimming pool,
I am at loss for cheer....

Mom! I want to go with you!
Please! Don't leave me here!
We spent some days at friends of ours,
Stained sheets brought d'risions sneer...

Mom! I want to go with you!
Please! Don't leave me here!
Fear for you wells in my heart,
When you are not so near...
