Playing With Poetry

Rating: 4.5

I play, I squeeze-poetry what I'm doing with you?
If I know what you- are not the following of few?

Is poetry always purely personal and personal?
Then why it makes others grave who are jovial?
Is it poor and positively powerless and powerless?
Then why one is afraid to be its face to face?
Does it not make man honest and honest?
Then why I follow many to quit it in haste?
Is it not that hardly it feed to stomach but mind?
Then devouring it why some become so kind?
Again is it powerless and has no value face?
Then why some of it leave for us lifelong race?

Are these not, only a few of fame from a list huge?
So say, should we not play with poesy o my Muse?

among some of the parts i might change a bit to make it more clear to ME: Then why I follow many to quit it in haste? *** Is it not that hardly it feed to stomach but mind? **** Then devouring it why some become so kind? ***** *** here, do you mean you start to read some poems, but don't finish reading them, but quit soon after starting? i've done that with a few poems; not many! ****are you saying poetry is digested, not by the stomach, but by the brain/mind? I’d have to agree, especially since most poetry I read is now online; I have eaten paper in my lifetime (mostly cupcake wrappers) , but I don’t relish eating a monitor. *****do you mean the readers, OR the poems, become kind? and, though kind rhymes nicely with mind, kind doesn't seem like the right 'fit' for the line. again, as i've said to others before, rhyming sometimes can cause the meaning/sense of a poem to suffer [in MY opinion]. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - “Are these not, only a few of fame from a list huge? ” …..are you saying that there is a huge list of the very positive things poetry has to offer its readers? ? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I am glad you are writing in English. For one thing, that is the language I understand best. Also, it will help you to become even more proficient at communicating to people like me through your poetry. Yes, for some readers, poetry is powerful, influencing their thoughts and sometimes actions. For me it is more entertainment, which is NOT a bad thing! Thanks for sharing. Bri :)
