Plain One Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Plain One

Plain One

The plain one's heart ached
And he thought
He didn't have a chance
In living and life.

He strove to be a big one
And a beautiful one at that.
He thought he would
Be good at that.

He thought the tide would turn
And he would be beautiful and rare
But that it didn't happen
Oh the people never stared.

But the plain one stayed plain
But did great deeds
Of awesome strength
Of whom all did read.
