Place In The Sky Poem by Cody Allan Turner

Place In The Sky

There is plenty of room in the deep sky
To make a home for you and I
We could ride the wind to where the heavens meet the earth
And chase the sun across lands of birth.

We’d pick a different cloud each night
And rest as it took us away
And disillusioned from our flight
Not knowing which day is today

We’d spend our summers on the sun
And vacation to the moon
Our dreams would feed off one another
We’d live long, but grow old too soon.

In our age, we’d still sing youth
And dance above the rain
We’d laugh at the world below
And love through struggle and pain.
