Stargazer Poem by Cody Allan Turner

Stargazer

Is there a star out there made just for me?
Have I met it with the glance of an eye?
The one in broad daylight that I see,
Perched beyond all space and sky

A land vast as countless beginnings
Filled with the deepest of desire
Departing, in my lifeless days
To this star I shall retire.

The shooting star lifts up the dead
As it passes by in full
Only the moon can see ahead
A new star born with every soul.
