Pixies, Monkeys And Vampires… Oh My! Poem by Leah Michele

Pixies, Monkeys And Vampires… Oh My!

I am sitting on his bed, waiting for him to come home,
When suddenly, his sister is next to me,
But not as herself.
She is a pixie; eyes dark, skin blue and teeth sharp.
She flies after me, leaving behind a train of golden dust.
She is trying to bite me... to feed on my blood.
But I shift into a monkey,
Because, like her, I too am not human.
I am a were.
I swing from the lights to avoid her path,
Causing her to fly out the window,
Where it is no longer the city,
But a deserted part of a forest.
She shifts into a vampire; skin pale as can be, with eyes so hypnotic.
She flies back through the window,
Which is no longer of an apartment,
But of an empty mansion.
She races at me and plunges her fangs into my neck,
Sucking the life out of me.
I momentarily pass out.
When I wake, I am back on his bed (human again) .
He is home and his sister is on her bed across the room,
Staring… smiling.
