'Phoenix' Poem by NiQi Deveaux

'Phoenix'

Magnificent yellow spirit
With fire so bright
About to begin
A glorious flight
Soaring so high
All only see a small speck
Till you come speeding down
Setting fire to the deck
Of the rafts they cling to
So they jump over board
Into a sea where they struggle
And have to swim hard for shore
Cause your on fire and they know
To touch you, means certain death
You could burn them all down
With a whisper of breath
So you soar now sweet one
Unite your fire with the sun
And I will watch here
As it all comes undone
For it must. We both know
The house of cards must fall down
We'll listen to every....
Single little sound
And when it's done we'll rebuild
A castle that will not fear your fire
Cause it's built with true love
Passion, spirit and desire.... 💗
