Ph: Faith: I'm A Christian; You're A Christian Poem by Brian Johnston

I'm a Christian; you're a Christian; fine with me you don't think so,
You're a child of God that loves you, '…Out of Jail…, ' 'Advance to Go, '
Few would claim, 'We've got no limits! ' Boundaries? Of course, there are!
Earth (for now) God's children's playground, daylight honors just one star.

Poetry is where I hang out most of these retirement days
just dip toes in to taste my humor, faith, and logic (Science craze!)
Though rhythms here I deem a virtue, all man's rules seem slightly bent
by mass that acts in four dimensions. (1) Talk to God (Who owns) , I rent!

I'm a poet; you're a poet! Models guide; God's TRUTH's unknown,
for God loves atheists/agnostics. Your 'Faith' makes you judge of me?
'Wax on, wax off, ' (2) I'm just a novice! Pope, too, sits by telephone
(still begging God to call him someday!) Science, Bible's poetry!

Bible's faults amped by translators, both first texts AND minds of man.
All the prophets birthed with baggage! Hitlers think their thoughts are fine!
Science texts aren't just translations; peer reviews check all they can
(don't rely on 'truths' but Nature!) Satan spawns no Valentine. (3)

(1) How amazing it is to me that modern Physics has revealed that in God's reality it seems that gravity is not a real but a 'fictitious force' and that the 'speed of light' cannot actually be measured on a 'one-way trip' (only inferred) as techniques for
measuring speed all require the light to make a 'round trip.'
(2) A defensive metaphor taught by Mr. Miyagi to Daniel, his protégé, in the motion picture 'The Karate Kid.'
(3) Satan is commonly called 'The Father of the Lie! '
