Pesky Bird Poem by Danny Draper

Pesky Bird

Pesky bird, pesky bird
With beauteous voice,
Do not entice me,
I'll have little choice.

Pesky bird, pesky bird
So meticulously preened,
So vivid and alluring,
Stop shadowing me.

Pesky bird, pesky bird
Don't lend me your coat,
With ambiguous colour,
Charm and grace afloat.

Pesky bird, pesky bird
Worms in your throat,
If tried I would like it,
You twitter and gloat.

Pesky bird, pesky bird
Your skin so perfect,
Desire of the flock,
The long sought effect.

Pesky bird, pesky bird
Feigning coquette,
In a cock rolling cloud,
A life without regret'.

Pesky bird, pesky bird
With finesse and grace,
Give me your world,
Trade 'me your place.

I was reading bird and thinking woman here ;) Some pesky, flirty woman who put a spell on you but also a sweet feathered, small, vulnerable bird who is able to fly away. We cannot hold them, capture them, not even their beauty as that too, fades and they yearn to be free.
