Personified Enemy Poem by May Wang

Personified Enemy

The day that I shall cry
Is the day my fears came alive
Its dark, hooded face.
Should have foretold I needed to brace
Shadow follows, omnipresent, omnipotent
Laughing, driving into dark quotients
Near The Void I nearly fell
Until I clawed myself out of the well
Out of rebel, furious I fought back
And took the fear to sack
And realize that behind
there was nothing kind

But armed with fact
I brought tact
For the eternal battle
Never shall lose rattle

The dark causted creates light
For me I will never lose that sight
