I Quit, Fame Poem by May Wang

I Quit, Fame

Dear Fame,
You are just a name.
You only help those with buck,
and those with power and luck.
Those who deserve and work to heights,
Instead, you sell the rights.
How many talents have been lost,
And of the uncountable cost.
Setting prestigious standards to youth,
to surpass their elders with utter couth.
The truth, most will lose their grace,
as they have to learn to brace.
But it's your fault too for that
Letting those who are like a rat.
Set whims to control the pack
Putting everyone in a sack,
Care that you truly lack,
See all as nameless stacks.
If that's all you give,
I would rather not live
As one to have absolute all
Rather as one who ignores the call.
Bye.
Here's a Pie.
Splat!
