Peace Talks Poem by Sathya Narayana

Peace Talks

Rating: 5.0

PEACE TALKS
They sling mud balls at each other and spat
sitting in their respective countries.
One day they say, "Let us resolve our disputes! "
and meet in his or his palace to chat...what...
about heir wives, their kids, their seats, their fates
and nothing about their countries,
their men and the burning boundaries.
At last with silly simpers they bid adieus
over a glass of wine to soon declare,
that they made a good headway.
Well they meet again, this time in a Champagne fair,
again they talk, they laugh and part for a zilch!
The border line remains like a bleeding weal
with both the sides aflame with anger and fright.

The price at last is paid by the populace
and alas, peace remains as ever in pieces!

Sir Sathya Narayana Please permit me to collaborate; What with finding a solution for peace among 'Enemies'. There does not appear to be a 'Just Panel' to effectively come to an agreement for Peace. From your own legal training and my reviewing what you've so well, discouragingly expressed. Then if you were to have all the 'For Peace' advocates speak before you as one of the wisest persons on Earth as a Judge, then, write and tell us, what you would say to them all. Would they be worthy of the opinions of each of their countrie's populace? Would the problem be that the war monger leaders have chosen their adversaries well? Not anyone to disagree in fear of what they may voice in controversy. Your poem's content is one of 'Complaint' and the issue of non compliance of an agreement without having the many victims of war be their to testify on behalf of; 'We' the People' of the World demand Peace and will not work to feed empowered leaders with evil substance for war and inhuman tyranny'. What with Love, Empathy and Family Spirit, we must rescue our forsaken Earth and all life upon it Ye Bards of Eloquence, as Peace Loving Desciple Know Thy Power, Take Heed! You have made some very meaningful observations in this piece Sathya....yes politicians tear peace into pieces when they enter into meaningless detentes - which yield no results - just provide some grist for the newspaper mills

peace has to be kept in pieces for their survival..diplomacy...even the dictators have a downfall...these diplomats are a slow poison on us
