Parting With Combridge Again Poem by gina guo

Parting With Combridge Again

i go back lightly just the same as i came lightly.
i wave my hand lightly, saying goodbye to the clouds of western sky.
the golden willows near the river bank is just as if a bride in the
setting sun,
her beautiful and gorgerous reflection in the wave light is rippling
continually in my heart.
the green water grasses growing in the soft mud are swaying and
showing off in the bottom of the river.
in the soft waves of Cambridge river i'm willing to become a piece of water
grass.
the pond under the shades of elms looks like not a crystal spring but a
rainbow in the sky
which is kneaded to broken by the water grasses and
cherishing a rainbow-like dream.
looking for dream?
punting a long pole, i go against the river freely to the place of
flourishing green water grasses.
my boat is fully loaded with star brightness and i can't help singing
aloud in the face of so great scenary.

but i can't sing aloud.
quietness is the 'melody' of parting.

the insects in the summer are also mute for me, in the silence is the Cambridge river tonight.
i go back stealthily just as i came stealthily,
my sleeves waving gently, i carry nothing even a piece of
cloud.--
